After the Other Foot

i dont know
if i ever told you
about the glue
that wont let go
it drips
from time to time
from way up high
the only way
to ever get unstuck
is to never even
have gotten stuck

don't stick around
when the sticky drip
is dropping down
on vulnerable ground
dodge, weave and try
to escape by any lie
necessary to whoever
is in anyway impeeding
the act of escapology
setting me
on this lonely road.
